Tennessee Valley Fair Gives Back: $8,500 Donated to The Love Kitchen and East Tennessee Children's Hospital
Knoxville, TN (February 27, 2025) — The Tennessee Valley Fair, in partnership with Food City and Kissel Entertainment, presented $5,500 in Food City gift cards to the Love Kitchen. Food City generously matched the donation at 10%, further supporting the organization’s mission. The donation was presented on February 26 at the Love Kitchen, located off Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.
“The Love Kitchen continues to serve those in need in our community, and we are honored to support their mission year after year,” said Abby Villas, Marketing Coordinator of the Tennessee Valley Fair. “We have proudly supported The Love Kitchen since 2001, and it’s inspiring to see the incredible impact they continue to make. ”
Love Kitchen Day is held on the first Sunday of the Tennessee Valley Fair each year. This past year, it was held on Sunday, September 8th, and a portion from every ride wristband sold was collected to donate to the Love Kitchen. In 2025, Love Kitchen Day at the Tennessee Valley Fair will take place Sunday, September 7th.
Earlier this month, the Tennessee Valley Fair proudly donated $3,000 to East Tennessee Children's Hospital. The funds were raised through the Fair’s pageant competitions and the Cotton Candy Classic 5K. This contribution will help provide essential care and support for children and families in need.
