The Tennessee Valley Fair and Great Clips presented a donation to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital on Tuesday, January 8. The donation in total was $3,660.92.
For the past 10 years, Great Clips has offered haircuts during the Tennessee Valley Fair, only asking for a donation. All the proceeds from the services provided from Great Clips during the Fair go towards East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Additionally, proceeds from the Fairest of the Fair competition and the Cotton Candy Classic 5k are donated to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.
“2018 was the inaugural year for the Cotton Candy Classic and we are very proud of the success we had from it” said Kristen Bright, Foundation Coordinator of the Tennessee Valley Fair and organizer of the Cotton Candy Classic. “A portion of the proceeds went towards the Tennessee Valley Fair Foundation, but we wanted to include another great community organization. Children’s Hospital was an easy choice; they contribute so much to our community and we want to show our support.”
Each event during the Tennessee Valley Fair that benefited East Tennessee Children’s Hospital – Great Clips’ Hair at the Fair, the Fairest of the Fair competition, and the Cotton Candy Classic 5k – are returning in 2019.
