KNOXVILLE, TENN. (August 18, 2021) – There's less than a month until the start of the 101st Tennessee Valley Fair! After 2020, fairgoers around East Tennessee are excited to take part in what the Fair has to offer. The staples are back: food, rides, competitions, but there are some new additions for fairgoers to enjoy!
New additions to the Fair include:
Butterfly Experience - A once in a lifetime chance to walk amongst hundreds of butterflies! You'll even get the chance to feed them!
Pet Show - Get ready to watch your furry friends put their best paw forward!
Cats and Dogs will be competing in age division categories as well as Best Cat Carrier, Best Dog Tricks, Favorite Cat Costume, and Favorite Dog Costume!
Smoky Mountain Axe Throwing -
Try your hand at axe throwing with Smoky Mountain Axe House. Ages 2+ will throw for only $8 per person! If you think you've got what it takes to be a champion, join us for the Axe Throwdown on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 5pm. Winners will receive CASH prizes!
Sweet Goodness Donut Challenge - Local Donut shops are invited to compete for bragging rights to be the 2021 Tennessee Valley Fair's Best Donut Shop. There will be a discriminating panel of testers for the coveted Policeman's Choice Award.
Blacksmith Demonstrations - Watch as local blacksmiths forge horseshoes, and more!
