  • What are your 2017 dates and hours of operation?
  • How much is admission? Do you have to pay an extra cost for rides?
    • Admission is $10 for adults (Ages 12-64 years old), $8 for seniors (Ages 65 years and older), $7 for children ages (Ages 6-11 years old) and children 5 years old and under are admitted free. Ride tickets and wristbands are available at an additional cost. See our price list here. Discounted fair admission and wristbands are also available until September 7, 2017.   • Where can I find a map of the fairgrounds?
  • Who organizes the Tennessee Valley Fair?
    • We are a non-profit (501 c3) organization dedicated to showcasing East Tennessee heritage, agriculture and the arts for nearly 100 years. Our full time staff of 6 works year round at Chilhowee Park to plan the Tennessee Valley Fair. Our office is open year-round to assist you: 865-215-1471 or fair@tnvalleyfair.org
  • What items are prohibited on the fairgrounds?
    • Outside food and drink, coolers, weapons, pets, selfie sticks and all non-clear bags (excpetions and more info listed here) are not permitted in Chilhowee Park during the fair. UPDATED BAG POLICY for 2017: READ HERE
    • Please note -all bags are subject to search by the Knoxville Police Department.
  • Is it possible to re-enter the fairgrounds if I have to leave?
    • Yes, hand stamps are available at every gate. Can only be used on the same day. Please note: No re-entries will be permitted after 10:00 p.m.
  • I have a safety concern...who do I talk to about that?
    • Your safety is our top priority. The Knoxville Police Department is on site all 10 days of the Fair. If you have a concern, an officer is on duty at the Information Booth, located next to First Aid.   • I need handicap accessible parking - where should I park?
    • Handicap accessible parking is available at the Prosser Road and Beaman Street gates on a first come, first serve basis. View a map.
  • I want to attend a concert, what's the difference between a reserved seat and a free seat?
    • Each year, free seats are available at Homer Hamilton Theatre for most of our Headline Entertainment. These seats are available in the 400 section of the theatre on a first come, first serve basis. Ushers are available to direct you to these seats. Reserved seats cost extra and guarantee you a seat closer to the stage. Please note: you must pay fair admission to attend any of our concerts.  To view a seating chart, click here.
  • I am attending a concert and want to meet the artist. Do you offer meet and greets?
    • No meet and greet opportunities are offered to the general public.
  • Are the events at the Action Sports Arena (Tractor Pull, Rodeo and Demolition Derby) free with paid fair admission?
  • I have a question or concern that I'd like to discuss with fair management, who can I talk to?
